I heard a word from my friend, which I haven't know.
First time I heard the word I thought
" Is it a word from American Football? or missile's name?"
The word is "squid" aaaaand "cuttlefish"
(I wonder .... why fish? IKA is not fish ^^ ; )
Squid and Cuttlefish, both is called "IKA" in Japanese
if you want simply saying.
Actually, they're not same IKA.
Squid is called "Kou IKA"
Cuttlefish is called "Surume IKA"
And, there're more IKAs in Japan.
"Yari IKA" is called Spear squid in English.
Wow! what a many names "Hotaru IKA" has in English!!
firefly squid toyama squide
Luminescent dwarf squid Sparkling Enope Squid
These 4 are all "Hotaru IKA"
And, off course, we eat these IKAs (^-^)
We cook IKA in about 4 ways.
: raw : grill : boil(?) : dried :
We also use "IKA SUMI" for cooking.
Squid-ink, it's called in English maybe.
Using "IKA SUMI" for cooking is not so common.
Most of the way is for Spaghetti.
Ika-Sumi Spaghetti is very populor in Japan now a days.
Some of restraurant use Ikasumi for sauce and also Spaghetti itself.
Oh-oh. I forgot this. We also use "IKA WATA(liver)" for cooking.
Food using Ika-Wata is very much for Sake and Rice.
Ika has many taurine which effect to down your chorlesterol level.
And taurine helps your liver, hasten the detoxification of alchole,
good for recovering for exhaust.
Ika-Wata has much DHA and IPA which make your blood smooth.
(use Ika-Wata only when you get fresh IKA, not old)
Ika-Sumi includes Lysozyme which is expected of its effection to prevente a cancer.
And many specialists pay attention about it.
Very sorry if I wrote wrong informations,
or used wrong words or sentences which lead you misunderstanding.
(^^ ;)

There is a word "Fuufu" in Japanese.
I wanted to know how its says in English,
and tried to translate it by Web dictionary.
The answer was "husband and wife" or "married cupple"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (^^ ;)
Fuufu is Husband+women in Japanese Kanji's meaning
From this, "husband and wife" is ok,
but very sounds strange for me.
Why two words?
man + woman --> Husband + wife = Fuufu.
Even though they gets married,
they are separate person... is the reason?
Maybe it comes from diference of racial traits and custom.
Very interesting (^-^)

One day, I watched TV Quiz show.
Language Quiz about Japanese.
I knew this surprising thing in this show,
that there're 100 or more sayings of "I" in Japanese.
watashi, ore, wagahai, sessha, midomo, wachiki....etc.
I called myself "yuuko" when I was child
(yuuko is my real name ^^ ;)
For exp. : Yuuko like this better. Yuuko woke up at 7 o'clock.
Now, I call myself "watashi" or "atai" or "watai"
In real life, I use "watashi" only, though.

Middle of July, I went Japan SF Convention.
You know what this is?
It's not "South Forest" Convention (g)
Sience Fiction Convention, for the people who loves Sience Fiction.
Sience Fiction fun gather and enjoy many plans which is made by funs.
Party, Game, Disucussion,Dealer's Room... etc.
Most of participants are ordinaly people.
But some of Professional people also come.
And it's a big chance for the funs that they can see the professional Writers.
If you have luck, you may be able to talk or get their sign
And this convention is also the chance for meeting friends who live far country.
Participants come from all over the Japan.
I was not so interested in this convention.
Main reason is ..... money (^^ ;) a little bit expensive for me.
Every year, this convention is held at different county.
This year was Yokohama so we could go,
but last year was Tochigi where we didn't go.
Little bit far from my town, so money gone for not only entering expenses,
but also travel expenses and hotel bill...... (T_T)
So, I had went SF Convention 4-5times but it because of my brother's inviting.
If no inviting, we, me and my hus, never went.
My brother who died this spring loved this convention very very much.
He went all conventions during these 16 years.
He also went World SF Convention 2 or 3 times.
I decided to go and help his friend's plan at further SF convention,
when he died.
Some of conventions which I went, He asked me to help "Kids Room".
Which is for the parents and kids,
they can rest, feed milk or foods, talk with mothers there
Several weeks before the convention, I joined the staff meetings
and prepared things which might be needed for "Kids Room"
And during convention (this time was 2 days) I stayed and helped "Kids Room".
Departuring home at early morning and back to home late at night.
It made me very tired....
so I couldn't do things which I do everyday(for exp. games )
Whether I was tired or not, I had to go work, and that made me more tired.
That was my busy July and why I couldn't go CL often (^^ ;)

Charactors and their moving is like a "Japanese Manga" + "American Comic"
This game has many items and skills and quests,
and their explanation is written by English (sure thing)

a little bit difficult for me< the explanation.
(Ah, you can choose language when you start playing. English or French)
I heard that beta will be reseted at September 1.
Not sure, but seemse to be scheduled.

May is called "Gogatsu" in Japan
"Go"=5, and "gatsu" is another pronunciation of "tsuki"=months.
And, there's another name of May.
It is "Satsuki"
There's 2 opinion about "Satsuki"
1. In old Japanese language, "Sa" means cultivating.
"cultivating" + "month" = Sa+tsuki, then Satsuki
2. May is the season of early rice seedling (which called "Sanae")
And "Sanae" + "tsuki" went shortly to "Sa"+"tsuki".
We use ichi(1)gatsu ni(2)gatsu san(3)gatsu.... usually.
But for example, many Calendars or some kind of letters,
use these "Lunar-Calendar" names, Satsuki or Kisaragi or Yayoi...
Aaaaaaaaand!
May is the Horce-Racing month! (^o^)
We have big title races in May.
Tennou-shou, NHK Mile Cup, Oaks, and Japan Derby.
NHK Mile Cup, Oaks and Japan Derby are 3-years-old only.
Horses who made their debut in 2004th(some of them made it 2005)
run races to aim these G1 races (big title races), especially Derby.
I hope I and my friends wil be able to go Derby or Oaks.
(Oaks is Female Horse only race,
so the turf have some presents or events for coming Ladies every year)
Ouka-shou, Satsuki-shou, NHK Mile Cup, Oaks, Japan Derby.
These races are called "Classic" and newbie horses(2004th) aim these races.
They are 3-years-old only race, so horses have only 1 chance of running these races.

love....life....live....leave....
I have thought
Tomorrow will come, just like Today is.
Nevertheless, there is no such guarantee.
My brother died. (by Myocardial infarction)
Only 46 years old. have wife, daughter and son.
He was the man who had very wide interests and hobbies.
movies,musics,comics,novels (especially SF),lylics,TV shows,
languages,foods,drinks,sweets,philosophy,history,universe,Man... etc,etc...
And also had wide connections and many many friends.
Everyone loved and respected him, his friendship and passion for SF.
Very strange but my heart feels no sadness.
Not know why but my tears flow time after time.
He was a good brother, was a nice friend, and was a teacher for me.
Probably, I miss him.
I saw a CM about "Bone marrow bank"
There is a woman under struggle against disease in the film.
Maybe her life is hard and that is not happy, unlucky for her.
But I thought she is happier than my brother.
Becuase she can fight against disease.
My brother never. He had no time for fighting.
I live, remembering him sometimes.
